How TechAngels selects startups
Hundreds of startups reach TechAngels every year; in 2025, members reviewed more than 300 and 81 were selected to pitch. Here is what happens between your application and a pitch night.

Screening
Every application is checked against the four criteria. Most rejections happen here, and the most common reasons are fixable: too early (no prototype), unclear market, or a round size outside the €10,000–200,000 ticket range.
Analysis
Startups that pass screening are analyzed in more depth: product and technology, traction and unit economics, competition, team background and the terms being asked. This is where a clean data room and an honest deck make the difference.
Selection for the network
The strongest startups are distributed to the member network and invited to pitch at member meetings. From there it's the members' individual decision: TechAngels curates the funnel, but every angel invests their own money on their own judgment.
